01 The short answer
What can Leopati turn into a film?
Leopati turns written and visual source material into directed AI films: a book, novel, memoir, screenplay, true story, historical material, an original concept or existing footage and images. Each project is adapted into a screenplay, then produced scene by scene with consistent characters, sound and editing — as a short film, documentary, feature-length or hybrid production.

What we make from a story
AI film production at Leopati means a human-directed film made with generative image, video, voice and sound tools — not a single prompt. The same studio that produces our THYMOS AI short film handles adaptation, screenplay, character continuity, editing and mastering. For our wider services, see our AI film production studio page.

AI Short Film Production
An AI short film is a narrative film, usually up to around 20 minutes, produced with AI-generated imagery and video under human direction. Leopati produces narrative AI short films with controlled characters, environments, cinematography, editing, sound design and final mastering. Projects may begin from an original story, a screenplay, a book chapter or a creative brief.
- Festival shorts
- Brand films
- Chapter adaptations
F / 02
Feature-Length AI Film Production
Yes, a feature-length film can be made with AI — but not in one step. A feature is built as a milestone production: development, screenplay, world building and a character bible come first; scenes are then produced in sequences, reviewed, edited, scored and mastered. Each milestone is approved before the next begins, so the story, characters and look stay consistent across the full runtime.
- Development & screenplay
- Sequence-by-sequence production
- Phased milestones
F / 03
AI Documentary Production
Yes — Leopati produces AI documentaries, and a documentary is more than narration over generated images. The workflow starts with research and source verification, then story structure and narration. Archive material is integrated where it exists; where it does not, scenes are reconstructed with AI and presented as reconstruction. Editing, a fact review and sound complete the film.
- Research & verification
- Archive integration
- Historical reconstruction

Book and Novel to Film Adaptation
Book to film adaptation is the process of turning a written work into a screenplay and then into scenes. Leopati selects the story's spine, writes an adaptation treatment, breaks it into scenes and dialogue, and designs each character and location before production. A novel can become a short film, a trailer, a pilot or a feature, depending on the scope you choose.
- Novels
- Published & unpublished books
- Concept trailers

Memoir and Biography Films
A memoir, a family history or a true story can be produced as a biographical film. Leopati works from your text, photographs and recollections, reconstructs places and periods, and keeps the central figure recognisable from scene to scene. Our AI biography film of St. Nicholas of Myra is an example of this format.

- True story to film
- Historical reconstruction

Screenplay and Story to Film
If the script already exists, production can start from it: Leopati breaks the screenplay into shots, designs characters and worlds, and produces the film. If you have an idea or a short story rather than a script, we develop the screenplay first.
Proof-of-Concept and Pitch Films
A proof-of-concept or pitch film shows investors, broadcasters or publishers what a project will look and feel like — a key sequence, a teaser or a concept trailer produced to finished quality.
Series, Pilots and Episodic Production
For episodic ideas, Leopati can produce a pilot or opening episode with a character bible and world rules designed to carry across later episodes.
F / 07
Hybrid AI and Live-Action Production
Hybrid production combines live-action footage with AI-generated scenes, environments and effects. Leopati has produced AI sequences integrated into live-action films, including AI horror sequences for Blair Witch and Zarafel. AI-assisted VFX and scene reconstruction extend what can be shot.

How AI Film Production Works
Every Leopati film moves through the same eight stages, from source material to final master. Each stage is reviewed with you before the next one starts.
- 01
Source Material
We read the book, script or story, confirm what you hold the rights to, and agree the film's purpose and audience.
- 02
Adaptation & Screenplay
A treatment, then a screenplay with scenes, dialogue and runtime — the story decided before a single frame.
- 03
Character & World Development
A character bible and world rules: faces, wardrobe, props, locations, period and light.
- 04
Storyboard & Shot Design
Shot lists, framing, lens language and a sample scene that sets the film's look.
- 05
AI Image & Video Production
Scenes are generated and directed shot by shot, checked against the bible for continuity.
- 06
Voice, Dialogue & Sound
Narration or dialogue where required, sound design and music direction.
- 07
Editing, VFX & Colour
The cut, pacing, visual effects clean-up and colour grading.
- 08
Final Master
Mastered deliverables in the agreed formats, versions and languages.

05 Character consistency
One Character. One World. Across the Entire Film.
In AI filmmaking the hard problem is not one beautiful image — it is making every image look like it belongs to the same film. Leopati locks a character bible and world rules before production and checks every shot against them.
- Character identityThe same person, recognisable in every scene.
- Face continuityFeatures held across angles, emotion and age.
- Wardrobe continuityCostume, props and wear that follow the story.
- Environment consistencyLocations that keep their geography.
- CinematographyOne lens language, framing and camera logic.
- LightingTime of day and light that match between shots.
- ProportionsScale of people, objects and spaces kept constant.

- VoiceOne voice per character throughout the film.
- Story continuityDetails that carry correctly from scene to scene.

AI Film Production FAQ
Straight answers about adapting a story into an AI film with Leopati. For a broader view, visit the Leopati studio page.
Can you make an AI short film from my story?
Yes. Leopati develops your story into a screenplay and produces it as a narrative AI short film, with consistent characters, sound design, editing and a final master.
Can you turn my book into a film with AI?
Yes. We adapt the book into a treatment and screenplay, design its characters and world, and produce it scene by scene. The result can be a short film, a trailer, a pilot or a longer production.
Can you turn a novel into a feature-length AI film?
Yes, as a phased production. A feature is developed and produced in approved milestones — screenplay, world building, sequences, editing, sound and mastering — rather than generated in one pass.
Does Leopati produce AI documentaries?
Yes. Our documentary workflow covers research, source verification, story structure, narration, archive integration, clearly presented AI reconstruction, editing, fact review and sound.
Can you make a film from a screenplay?
Yes. An existing screenplay can go straight into shot design and production. We may suggest adjustments where a scene would work better on screen.
Can you create a film from a true story or memoir?
Yes. We work from your text, photographs and recollections to reconstruct people, places and periods as a biographical film.
Can you recreate historical scenes with AI?
Yes. Historical scenes are researched and reconstructed with AI, as in our St. Nicholas of Myra biography film. In documentaries, reconstructions are presented as reconstructions.
Can you keep the same character consistent throughout a film?
Yes. Character continuity is central to how we work: a character bible fixes face, wardrobe, proportions and voice, and every shot is checked against it.
Can you combine live-action footage with AI-generated scenes?
Yes. Leopati has produced AI sequences integrated into live-action films, and can combine your footage with AI-generated scenes, environments and effects.
Can you use a real person's appearance?
Only with documented consent and the right to use that person's likeness and voice. Without it we create an original character instead. Historical figures are handled with care for accuracy and sensitivity.
What materials do I need to send to start?
The book, script or a written summary of the story; any reference images or footage; your intended format, length and audience; and confirmation of the rights you hold.
What will I see before production starts?
After the adaptation and before any video is generated, we design the characters, the key locations and the colour world of your story and send them to you. Production begins once you have approved that look.
How long does an AI film production take?
It depends on runtime and complexity. The schedule is set after the treatment stage: short films are planned in weeks, feature-length projects as phased milestones over a longer period.
How is the cost of an AI film determined?
By runtime, number of scenes and characters, visual complexity, dialogue and voice, languages and deliverables. You receive a quote after we review your material and agree the scope.
Can the film be delivered in 4K?
4K delivery is possible where the production scope allows it. Resolution, formats and versions are agreed per project in the contract.
Do you produce films in languages other than English?
Yes. Leopati works in English and Turkish, and films can be produced in other languages through voice production and subtitles, depending on the scope.
Who controls the story and creative direction?
The story remains yours. Leopati directs the production and proposes creative choices, and each milestone is reviewed and approved with you before we continue.
Who owns the final film and generated assets?
Rights and usage are defined in the project agreement, based on the production scope and the source materials. We clarify them before production begins.
