Transcript and description

No dialogue and no narrator; the film runs on music and sound effects from start to finish.

What is seen:
A disco ball drifting alone among the stars in deep space.
The worlds it passes through: planets, a futuristic hall lined with rows of silver robots, a neon tunnel of light where figures and bubbles float, a temple of giant stone statues and a glittering crystal city.
The call: a glowing Leopati screen announcing the Harbiye concert.
The collision in space: the ball's mirror tiles shattering, a spaceship and red lasers reflected in them.
The arrival on Earth: the planet reflected in the ball, then Istanbul and the Bosphorus Bridge at night.
Harbiye: the concert crowd and the stage lights, then the ball waiting in lilac light at a door backstage.
From about 2:00, black-and-white footage: the artist backstage, getting ready at the mirror, and the crowd.
The artist's handwritten signature on screen.
From about 4:30, colour footage of the artist singing at a vintage microphone with saxophonists, trumpet and drums, against red and grey backdrops.

Deha Bilimlier AI Concert Film is a 6-minute-42-second concert intro that Leopati made for Deha Bilimlier's concert at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre on 25 October 2026, where it screened on the stage screen as the show opened. Its first two minutes are fully AI-generated: a space ball that has lost its joy follows a signal from Leopati to Earth and into the concert. The rest is cut from live-action footage of the artist to his music. Directed by Güneş Polater.

Leopati's 6:42 opening film for the Harbiye concert: an AI-generated space journey that hands over to the artist's own stage footage.

Why this project existed

Deha Bilimlier AI Concert Film: spaceship reflected in the disco ball during the space collisionAI generated

Objective

To draw the audience into a single story before the concert starts: a short film with its own beginning, tension and ending, played on the big screen before the artist takes the stage.

The creative challenge

Holding an audience for more than six minutes with no dialogue and a single character, a small space ball; keeping that character identical across very different worlds; and getting the film ready for the concert screen in four days.

Audience

The audience in Harbiye on the concert night, and fans watching the film on YouTube afterwards.

Constraints

An opening played on the concert stage screen: one piece, 6:42, ending on the artist's entrance. No dialogue; the only text on screen is the Leopati signal announcing the concert and the artist's signature. The music came from the artist and the film was cut to it. Produced in 4 days.

Creative direction

Deha Bilimlier AI Concert Film: giant disco ball over a crystal cityAI generated

Lost in deep space, a small space ball drifts from galaxy to galaxy and planet to planet, but finds no fun and no joy anywhere. Just as it is about to give up, a signal arrives from Leopati: Deha Bilimlier is playing live in Türkiye. At first the ball does not want to go. Then an unlucky collision in space hurls it to Earth, to Istanbul, to the gates of the concert in Harbiye. And that is where the joy it has been looking for begins.

A lost traveller looking for joy. The concert is the destination: the whole journey of the film carries the audience to Harbiye, to the moment the artist walks on stage.

A concert opening is usually a countdown or a light show. We wanted to tell the audience a story before the artist walked on: a small traveller who has lost its joy, arriving at the one place it will find it again, the concert in Harbiye. We generated every frame of that journey with AI and built the story and the direction ourselves; from there the film hands over to the artist's own footage and the stage.

Güneş Polater, director’s statement

Visual style

Cinematic science fiction: deep space, galaxies and planets; one character's journey, told with a light touch of humour, ending somewhere familiar, Istanbul and Harbiye.

Cinematography and camera language

Wide, unhurried establishing shots and symmetrical compositions that hold the character at the centre of the frame: the temple of stone giants, the robot hall, the crystal city. The arrival in Istanbul comes at night, in an aerial shot over the Bosphorus. Most of the light comes from the character itself: glints off the mirror tiles, lens flares and the world reflected across its surface.

Continuity rules

The space ball
Its look was kept identical in every scene, from deep space to Harbiye.

Characters

The space ball
A small traveller lost in space, looking for joy. The only main character of the film's AI section, kept identical in every scene.

Worlds and locations

Deep space and the galaxies
The endless world it wanders alone.
The planets

Deha Bilimlier AI Concert Film: cosmic dancers floating in a tunnel of lightAI generated
  1. Story and direction

The space ball's journey was built to end the moment the artist walks on stage.

  2. AI image and video generation

GPT Image for the worlds and the character, Seedance for every moving shot.

  3. Sound design and effects

Every effect and the sound texture of the film, built around the music the artist sent.

  4. Editing, colour and finishing

Cut to the music, graded, and delivered as a 16:9 master for the concert screen.

How it was made

Deha Bilimlier AI Concert Film: cosmic dancers floating in a tunnel of lightAI generated

Live action combined with generative AI · directed, edited and finished by people

The method started from references: a still of the character and of every world was generated first and locked once approved. The moving shots were generated from those stills, then picked one by one and placed in the edit to follow the music.

Workflow

  1. 01

    Story and script

The traveller's journey was written to end on the artist's entrance.

  2. 02

    Character and worlds

The main character, the galaxies, the planets and Harbiye were generated as stills with GPT Image and locked as references.

  3. 03

    Scene generation

The moving shots were generated with Seedance from those references.

  4. 04

    Selection and edit

Shots were selected and cut to the music supplied by Deha Bilimlier.

  5. 05

    Sound

Leopati built the effects and the sound bed around the music.

  6. 06

    Colour and delivery

Graded and delivered as a 16:9 master for the concert stage screen, and released on YouTube.

What was human, what was generated

Story, script, direction, shot selection, sound design and effects, editing, colour and finishing were done by people (Güneş Polater and the Leopati team). The opening two minutes, from deep space to the concert door, were generated entirely with AI models: video with Seedance, images with GPT Image. From there the film cuts to live-action footage of the artist, in black and white backstage and in colour on stage with his band. The music came from the artist.

Prompt approach

References first: GPT Image produced a still of the character and of every world, and the approved stills were locked. Every shot in Seedance started from those reference stills, which kept the ball's mirror surface consistent from scene to scene. The generated shots were then chosen one by one for their place in the edit and the moment in the music.

Problems and solutions

  1. Problem One character, very different worlds: the space ball had to look the same in deep space, in a stone temple, in a robot hall and over Istanbul.

Solution The ball's look was locked in a reference still and every moving shot was generated from it; shots that drifted were left out of the edit.

Questions about this project

Who made Deha Bilimlier's concert intro film?

Leopati produced the film, directed by Güneş Polater. Deha Bilimlier commissioned it for his concert at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre on 25 October 2026, where it screened as the show opened.

Was the film made with AI?

Partly. The first two minutes, from deep space to the concert door, were generated entirely with AI; the rest of the film is live-action footage of the artist, cut to his music. It was made in 4 days. Story, direction, editing, colour, sound design and effects are by the Leopati team.

What is the film about?

A space ball that has lost its joy among the galaxies and, after a signal from Leopati, travels to Earth, to the concert in Harbiye.

How long is it and where can I watch it?

6 minutes 42 seconds, on this page and on Leopati's YouTube channel.

Is this an AI music video?

It sits with Leopati's AI music videos: the whole film is cut to the artist's music, opens with an AI-generated story and closes on his performance. Other examples are Killa Hakan's “Yanlış Kardeşler” and Oğuzhan Koç's “Yanımda Olsan”.
