How to use a prompt template
- Pick the template for the problem you have. They are grouped by where things break: character continuity, camera language, lighting, structure, and the client-facing paperwork around a shoot.
- Fill in the variables. Every blank is a decision the model would otherwise make for you — and make differently on the next generation, which is the whole problem.
- Copy the assembled prompt. It builds as you type. Copy it into whichever image or video model you are using.
- Keep the filled version. The value is in reusing the same wording across every shot in a project. A prompt you rewrite each time is a prompt that produces a different character each time.

How do you keep an AI character consistent across a whole video?
You stop describing the character and start referencing one. Write a single reference sheet — face, build, wardrobe, hair, distinguishing details — generate a locked set of reference images from it, and paste the identical sheet into every subsequent shot prompt. Describing a person freshly for each shot produces a different person each time, because the model has no memory between generations.
Why does the same prompt give a different result every time?
Because anything you leave unspecified is re-decided on every run. Lens, lighting direction, wardrobe detail, framing, time of day — if the prompt does not fix them, they drift. Consistency comes from specificity plus reuse of the exact same wording, not from asking the model to be consistent.
Should prompts be long or short?
As long as the number of things that must not change. A hero shot that has to match five other shots needs a long, precise prompt. An establishing shot nobody will match against can be short. Length for its own sake adds contradictions, and contradictory prompts produce averaged, muddy results.
What order should a video prompt be written in?
Subject, then action, then camera, then lighting, then style. Most models weight the opening of a prompt most heavily, so what matters most goes first. Burying the subject behind a paragraph of style language is the most common reason a shot comes back looking right but showing the wrong thing.
Can I use these prompts commercially?
Yes. They are templates, published to be used — no attribution required. What you generate with them is between you and the terms of whichever model you run them through, which is worth reading if the output is going in front of a client.
Do these work with any video model?
The structure does, because it is production language rather than model syntax. Individual models weight terms differently and some ignore parameters others honour, so treat the filled template as a strong first draft and adjust to whichever model you settle on.
